The aim of the course is to acquire increased knowledge and understanding of central concepts, theories and models in the area of digitalisation and digital transformation, which in turn constitute tools for managing and working systematically with digitalisation in order to improve efficiency and innovation in organisation
The next board meeting is coming up soon. As usual, we compile a report for the board with the latest updates. One thing hits me.
Since the last meeting, we have had three ministers visiting our university or planning to visit us, we have welcomed an astronaut, 2,500 upper-secondary school pupils, met with the Ministry of Education and Research, organised one of Sweden’s largest job fairs and, of course, many other exciting activities as well.

Erik Wästlund, Lecturer in Psychology and researcher at CTF, appears in the latest issue of the popular science magazine Scientific American. The article talks about how people easier understand and remember text on paper compared to text on a screen.
- As a part of my Ph D thesis I conducted a study where I compared reading comprehension between paper and screen. The results showed that text on paper was easier to understand.

September 27, is the last day of Global Week for Future, a global climate week organised by the school strike movement Fridays For Future. The week ends with a global climate strike where adults are invited to participate to pressure politicians to act in the ongoing climate crisis. Researcher Helén Williams will give a talk at Stora torget in Karlstad to show her support.

Karlstad University offers courses in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), with an emphasis on business and technical English. The ESP courses are available both to currently enrolled students and to those who are professionally active in the fields of business and science.
