The Holidays are approaching, and another research year is coming to an end. When I look back at 2018 I feel very proud. During the year, we had five PhD defenses, which is eight in total if we also count 2017. It is a clear indication that CTF is an academic environment to count on. We have hosted several events, for example the Service-Dominant Logic Day, and the conferences: Nordic Relationship Dynamics and Service Convention Sweden 2018.

In 2023, Ingesund School of Music recruited a professor in music education. Her curiosity in improvised music has been a driving force and inspiration since childhood. Something which she is happy to share with future music teachers. Her name is Guro Gravem Johansen. Guro Gravem Johansen comes from a small town in a rural part of northern Norway. When I came to Karlstad University in august 2019, I had no idea how dynamic my sabbatical year as a guest researcher at CTF, Service Research Center, would become. A sabbatical I am assistant professor of user-centered innovation at the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering of TU Delft, which started out as a traditional product design department, but by now conducts research and educates in design and innovation of products, services and systems.

As part of Erasmus+, Kerstin Siakas, professor at the Alexander Institute of Technology, Thessaloniki, Greece, visited the department of information systems in 20-24 April. During her visit, Prof. Siakas participated in a number of course-related activities such as Bachelor thesis supervision and gave a lecture to students in the courses Business Systems II: Development models and Business by Web and Web Analytics.

The family of the older adult is included in the research, as are nursing students and their learning, and the management and organisation that affects care and the older adult’s experience.” Karin Josefsson hails from Västmanland and became a registered nurse in Skövde in 1982, with continuing professional development in geriatrics in 1984 in Östersund.

After moving to Stockholm, he studied to become a nursing teacher and worked for a while at what was then known as the Swedish Rescue Services Agency, where he taught Emergency Care and Disaster Medicine.
