Welcome Linda Bergkvist!

We welcome Linda Bergkvist, Ph. D in Information Systems, to our research team. She defended her thesis on outsourcing in the IT industry in June, and will now pursue her research at CTF. - Towards new challenges. That was the opening words in the preface of my dissertation. I remember my time as a graduate student as joyful and rewarding, and it is with a smile that I now continue my academic journey.

Courses in Service Innovation

This fall, CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, will offer four online courses in Service Innovation. The courses are based on CTFs world-leading research in the field and are intended for professionals working with or having an interest in service, customer experiences and business development. All that is required to participate is a computer and an internet connection. The approach of the courses is flexible and consists among others of short video lectures and group work.

Right now there is project at Samot, The Service and Market Oriented Transport Research Group at Karlstad University, which focuses on increasing the understanding of how travelers perceive their daily travel. The researchers have developed a tool which they can measure the experiences in real time.  - With the help of our mobile app, we hope to gain more knowledge about travelers experiences and needs.

His doctoral studies will be conducted within VIPP the industrial graduate school. - "Strengthening the transformative capacity of the pulp and paper industry by seeking new ways of producing, transferring and assessing knowledge" is the working title for my project. The focus is on service innovation and business models for the forest industry. My research environment will be at CTF.
