Electroluminescence (EL) is the result of radiative recombination of electrons and holes while applying forward bias current on a solar cell. The light emission from each point of a solar cell is proportional to the voltage. Like with LBIC, badly performing areas with enhanced recombination appear as dark patterns on the EL image. In contrast to LBIC, the EL image is typically taken at a larger current similar to standard working conditions of the solar cell (a few Amperes).

We have pursued drying-related research and development since 1989. We have experience of the drying of biomass, paper, crops, and clothes, and we are constantly in the process of extending and deepening the knowledge of drying-related research and development.
The aim of our research and development is to contribute to the production of energy efficient and environment-friendly drying processes.
Marit Engen is our second new postdoctoral researcher that have joined CTF this year.
Marit Engen completed her PhD in 2016 at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, Lillehammer. Her research interest lies in the area of service innovation, and her doctoral thesis, "Frontline employees as participants in service innovation processes – Innovation by Weaving", focused on service innovation processes, and in particular the involvement of frontline employees.
In this project, raw material owners, converters, customers, universities, and authorities collaborate to collectively harness forest resources, close loops, and reduce the use of finite resources. The nutrients and minerals that trees absorb as they grow accumulate in sludge and ashes at pulp mills.
Today, acidification is countered through ash recycling, and forests are fertilized with mineral fertilizers.
In recent years, there has been plenty of reports in media about single men who have migrated. In this reporting, there are often implicit assumptions about how lonely men without strong connections to their families of origin create particular problems for the countries that receive them, not least because of risks of sexual assaults.
This project is part of an effort of the Swedish EPA and The Swedish Transport Administration, Swedish Agency for Marine and Water Management, and the research council Formas who are funding nine projects dealing with the management of invasive alien species.
The aim of the project is to improve ecosystem functions and services of species-rich road verges and green infrastructure through evidence-based control and monitoring of invasive plants at the landscape scale.

In a recent study, researchers Johan Högberg and Erik Wästlund at CTF, Service Research Center, have developed a new tool that can measure users’ experiences while using a gamified service.
The measuring tool, Gamefulquest, makes it possible to measure a user’s experience while using a gamified service.
"With the help of this tool we can investigate how different game elements affect the gameful experience and create an understanding for how different implementations of
The project Urban Fantasy: Investigating Modernity through Magic examines how urban fantasy’s generic hybridity, concern with the unseen, and juxtaposition of magic and modernity contribute to the genre’s ubiquitous commentary on our modern society. The project is conducted by KuFo researcher Stefan Ekman.
In urban fantasy the mythical and magical mix with the modern and urban.
It is a warm and humid day in late August after a hot and dry summer when the wind suddenly begins to pick up. You see dark clouds sweeping across the sky. You are in a city surrounded by grey surfaces; paved roads, rooftops and concrete. These hardened surfaces form a type of lid over the ground, and as the rain begins to intensify, the streets quickly fill with water.
When children can not read or write, which mathematics can one work with then? Working with problem solving in preschool class can be challenging, exciting, educational and rewarding for both students and teachers. The realities we see in TV shows are becoming more and more similar to our own reality. John Lynch is trying to describe the elements that weave TV shows and everyday life together.
Actors used to move from TV to the big screen. Today, it’s the other way around. The streaming services are attractive for actors, with big budgets and the possibility of performing a role over several seasons.
The key question for our research has been how human behaviour can be integrated in life-cycle assessments of food products. This challenge has been addressed by interdisciplinary research, combining service research and environmental system analysis.
By taking a service perspective, the focus can move from the product itself, to the process it is used for.
Adi Kuntsman "Mosaic methodologies to comprehend and combat digital environmental harms"https://fb.me/e/2R2dlUQ4qThe proposed topic addresses questions of utmost urgency: what is the role of digital technologies in environmental sustainability and the climate crisis? To what extent is digitisation a key component of environmental sustainability, or a major hindrance?

You have probably noticed that an online video clip playing on your mobile phone is interrupted when you leave your house and the Wifi network. The mobile phone connects to 4G, and the video clip resumes. One advantage of multipath networks, which will be common in the future, is that your mobile phone will switch between different networks without you noticing it.
