Vinnova, Formas and the Swedish Energy Agency say yes to funding for SustainGov, where Samhällsnytta at Karlstad University is one of the partners.

At the start of summer, Henrik Rahm started his position as professor of Swedish language at Karlstad University.

Karlstad is easily accessible by road, rail and air. It's situated about 300 km west of Stockholm, 225 km east of Oslo and 250 km north of Gothenburg (Göteborg).
The trip from Gothenburg to Karlstad takes about 2,5 – 3 hours, and can be made either with bus ( www.swebus.se) or by train (www.sj.se). If you want to stay in Gothenburg before or after the conference its better to buy the train ticket separately from the airport shuttle ticket.

As a student at Karlstad University, you have the opportunity to use the AI tool Microsoft Copilot. With Copilot, you can utilize a chat function to assist with various tasks, including generating text and images, analyzing data, summarizing documents, writing code, and much more. However, be aware of certain limitations in today’s AI models, where inaccuracies may occur in generated content.
Andrea Schalley, professor of English, has received funding from Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (RJ) to conduct full-time research in 2025-2026. She will complete a monograph on language maintenance, synthesising and contextualising a decade of research.
“I am extremely grateful for the RJ sabbatical and the opportunity to focus exclusively on my research,” says Andrea Schalley.
