In this talk, I engage with the visual regimes of urban platformization as an emergent and crystalizing logic in cities. Seeing and Seafaring: How the Scopic Regime of Computation Was Mobilised
Taking a cue from Carl Schmitt’s suggestion in Land and Sea that each of the four elements lends its own distinct perspective on the world, this talk examines the role of water—and more specifically, the sea, the ocean, maritime navigation—in the emergence of modern computational graphics.
Our research seminars feature visits from external guests as well as presentations of in-house research that is conducted in the subject.

The University Library, offering support and resources in various parts of the research process, will continue the seminar series "Science skills to go" for researchers and doctoral students during the autumn semester, with a series of workshops.
The aim of the series is to highlight topics that may be important for you as a researcher to know and find a concept that does not take too much time from your research.
Impact and the utilisation of research (4.5 credits) is a doctoral course that deals with how knowledge from your research can be useful for society, business and academia.
The findings, experiences, and ideas that emerge from research have traditionally been utilised through academic publication and teaching programmes. However, academic impact alone is no longer enough for a successful research career.
