The first European Workshop on Usable Security (EuroUSEC) took place in middle of july, in Darmstadt's "Darmstadtium". It was a success with more participants then expected, roundabout 90 persons joined the workshop, and inbetween the presentations there were lively discussions from various perspepctives.
All in all 22 papers from 77 authors from Europe, but also from the United States, Canada, Brasil, India and Pakistan had been submitted.

Prof. Kai Holzweissig presents his thoughts on this subject from a paper by Gregor and Hevner. He will also present some of his research on social software and management of formal new product development processes.
Kai is professor at Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Stuttgart (Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg Stuttgart in Germany and DHBW Stuttgart for short) and visited us during a couple of days in May to discuss future Erasmus exchanges.
