When you have a final version of your thesis, (the cover, the thesis itself and all the appendixes you want to include) you need to create a PDF-file.
On the Library's computers
You can create a PDF-file on all the Library computers.
Log in to the computer using your student account (KauID)
Open your Word file (thesis)
Select Save as PDF and choose where you want to save the file
On the Library computers you need to combine your Word documents before you create a PDF- file

Abstract
This study investigates how lighting influences consumer evaluations of packaged food products. Fifty-eight participants evaluated two identical packaged meals (alternated between subjects) in a laboratory setting.
Many financiers have contributed to the development of today's research in forest-based bioeconomics.
The KK Foundation and EU Framework Programs have been important sponsors for our initiatives, but also other funding agencies such as Vinnova, the Energy Agency, Swedish Agency for Growth and the ÅF Research Foundation have invested our research.

AT-LAB is an additive manufacturing laboratory supported by the EU grant via Tillväxtverket together with Region Värmland and Karlstad University. The laboratory is working close to regional industries, SMEs, cluster organization IUC Stål och verkstad. It is a part of Academi of Smart Specialization at Karlstad University.

Literary study aims to provide knowledge of literature and writers from Antiquity to the present time and of their positions and conditions in society. Courses are designed to further the understanding of the literary text as a personal, historical, social and aesthetic document.
Swedish pupils need support to fully understand what they read online. They often have great knowledge and abilities, but must be given tools to interpret texts in a digital environment. These are the findings of new research at Karlstad University.
"Reading a printed text and reading a text online entail different types of challenges, and pupils must be able to work with both text types.
Karlstad University Library has access to approximately 400 000 e-books via various e-book portals. E-books can be read online and often they also can be downloaded to computer or tablet. Different e-book vendors may have different terms of use.
What is an e-book?An electronic book (or e-book) is a book publication made available in digital form. An e-book can be read on a computer or a mobile device.
As of August 2013, some changes will be made to Harvard Business Review article access in Business Source Premier.
Currently Business Source Premier contains 12,824 full-text articles from Harvard Business Review. 500 of these articles will become read-only as of August. Printing or downloading will no longer be permitted.

Everyone who has been working in Sweden during the whole or part of the previous year should submit a tax return form (Inkomstdeklaration 1). This income tax return form is sent by the Swedish Tax Agency in April to all those obliged to submit a tax return. You must submit the tax return form before 2 May.
Large parts of the tax return form have already been filled in by the Swedish Tax Agency.

Ebsco ebooks are included in OneSearch.About 1100 titles are available. We do not own this books, but they are automatically loaned/bought as soon as someone uses them. Most titles are in the subject areas "Education", "Social Science", "Geography".
The titles have one link for reading online " eBook full text", and one for downloading.
The books have a limit of 3 concurrent users.

Science Direct books is a portal with e-books from Elsevier. The library has access to 650 titles.
The e-books are within the subjects Computer Science, Finance, Media Technology, Psychology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science.
Finding books
The books are searchable in the library catalog, OneSearch and in Libris.
It is also possible to search on the portal. When entering the portal all available books will be listed in alphabetical order.
Karlstad University and its partners in the private sector have received funding from the Knowledge Foundation for two research projects, TRUEdig and AMHiPP. TRUEdig investigates how businesses that develop privacy-enhancing services also can increase users’ security and sense of empowerment. AMHiPP will develop the microstructure of different materials to ensure maximal strength and sustainability.
