At Karlstad University, there is research on polymer solar cells and how these can be made more stable and effective. Recently, a doctoral thesis was presented on how solar cell materials and functions are affected by contact with air and light.

Karlstad University has received funding from the KK Foundation to build an industrial research school in forest-based bioeconomy and digitization. The project runs from June 2023 to May 2029.
EXACT is a collaboration between two strong research groups at Karlstad University - Pro2BE and DAMI4.0 - eight companies and several industry partners.

One of my interest is the concept of feminism and how it is understood and used by different actors – from activists to governmental officials – locally and globally. Another interest is gendered and embodied experiences of different crises – from conflicts to disasters.

The sun is an enormous resource and increasingly important for electricity production. Roughly one to two hours of sunlight hitting the Earth corresponds to the entire annual energy consumption of humanity.
The EH International Programme Scholarship provides a 50% tuition-fee reduction for outstanding students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are admitted to an eligible STEM programme (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) at either bachelor’s or master’s level at Karlstad University.
