Anna Jansson jumped in at the deep end. She has lived in Germany and Ireland, and for the last four years she has called San Francisco home. She started by taking freestanding courses at Karlstad University and today she is brand marketing manager at Google.

What is your current occupation?
"I've been working as an HR partner at NCC since 2017. It's an exciting assignment and I have the overriding HR responsibility for our region Civil Middle (Värmland, Örebro, Västmanland & Sörmland) with around 300 employees. I have the privilege of supporting all heads on staff issues and work with our management team to develop our operations.

Surveys from several parts of the country indicate that the pandemic has accelerated digitisation for Swedish companies. The vision for the CriseIT 2 project is well matched with this rapid digitisation.
Mia Larson’s research is in the borderlands between organization and marketing and her focus has been on tourism, events and sustainable development for a long time. Today, her focus is on digital services and personal integrity, and she was recently promoted to professor of Business Administration at Karlstad University.

This was one of the questions that the IT consultancy firm Tieto tried to sort out when they gave a lecture on the mobile networks in the past and in the future to over 70 IT students at Karlstad University at the autumn semester first Snits lunch.
Currently the development of the next generation mobile net 5G is in progress, which will lead to revolutionary changes for users and operators.
Fifteen years ago, open source developers were considered geeky. Today, on the contrary, these are the most sought after developers. Redpill Linpro, a company only working with products based on open source code, hosted the last SNITS lunch of the year on 5 December, with the theme “Kickstarting your career with open source”.
Software developed from source code that is open to everyone to use, change, develop and distribute is known as open source.
Three projects at Karlstad University are the recipients of EU funds to a sum of 21 million SEK. The decision was made by the North Mid-Sweden Structural Fund Partnership on 15 December 2016.

This, according to the Swedish Innovation Index, where researchers at CTF, Service Research Center at Karlstad University, have asked customers to evaluate the degree of innovation in companies and organizations in the Swedish market.

Carl Unander-Scharin was born in Stockholm in 1964 and graduated from Adolf Fredriks musikgymnasium in 1983. He continued his studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where he studied church music, choir education and the supplementary teacher education.
Christmas is around the corner and the year is drawing to a close, as I look back on an eventful year. I want to take this opportunity to give my warmest thanks to colleagues, partners, funders, and anyone who has contributed to or our research. I look forward to a new year of interesting research, courses and events.
In 2022 we have managed to make the workplace vibrant and lively again, following the pandemic.
The Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) recently conducted and extensive evaluation of 40 nursing specialisation programmes at 25 higher education institutions in Sweden.

Abstract
When we use any type of digital platform – music streaming services, train ticket bookings, dating apps, e-stores – our digital traces are collected, stored, analyzed and used to classify us and our actions.
Jenny Wilson is an internationally known Swedish indie musician, artist, and not least, producer. Her music is electro-influenced and energetic, and her lyrics are confrontational, often critical of society. At the same time, she does not shy away from being very vulnerable and personal, which is a significant part of her expression.

Human Resource Management Day is an annual career fair for students in the Human Resource Management and Working Life program, held at the Business School at Karlstad University.
The event offers lectures, exhibitors, and booth mingling designed to inspire and create connections ahead of students’ future working lives.
Research at Public health science consists of several strong research groups tightly tied to the community. Research topics include psychosocial health of vulnerable groups children. Environmental exposure and child development is studied in the SELMA-study.
Public Health Science at Karlstad University involve renowned and experienced researchers that produce quality research in their respective fields. Several large studies are currently being undertaken.
Karlstad University has received funding from the KK Foundation to build an industrial research school in forest-based bioeconomy and digitization. The project runs from June 2023 to May 2029.
EXACT is a collaboration between two strong research groups at Karlstad University - Pro2BE and DAMI4.0 - eight companies and several industry partners.

Innovation, transformation and sustainable development during changing times marked by the pandemic were in focus at CTF´s Service Innovation Day 2021 where the participants listened to presentations from Vinnova, Ikea, Systembolaget and Ica Maxi on how they work with these issues.
