Welcome to Karlstad University! What and where have you studied before you began your employment here in February?
I completed my MSc from EIT Digital Master Program with a focus on innovation in Security and Privacy. During this program, I completed 1st year from University of Trento, Italy and 2nd year from Technical University of Berlin,Germany.
How do you like your new hometown?
I don’t like it, I love it!
On 8 March, Compare arranged a seminar on embedded systems at which Martin Blom, senior lecturer in computer science at Karlstad University, among others, gave a lecture on ”Robustness and efficiency testability in embedded systems: A systematic literature study”.
In the past year, a new network for actors working on or interested in embedded systems has emerged in Värmland and neighbouring areas.

Malin Wik, lab assistant and nowadays PhD student, presented some of our teaching methods in HCI at a seminar March 9 at Södertörn.
Malin was invited by the department of Media technology to speak on “Wizardry, students and research: how the Wizard-of-Oz system Ozlab survived for 15 years.”

Standardising internet mechanisms is a long process and since the first proposal of the optimisation RTOR (RTO Restart) was submitted, it has been evaluated and refined by the IETF “TCP Maintenance and Minor Extensions” working group.
