The population of the world is increasing and so is the average income, which means that the demand for clothes and other textiles is rising too. The global textile consumption in 2050 is estimated to be three times as high as in 2015.

Claes Thorén, who defended his doctoral dissertation at Karlstad University in the spring of 2014 now returns to give seminar on his recent research. Since his disputation, he has worked as a researcher and later as a senior lecturer and director of studies at Uppsala University.
Bridget Kane, senior lecturer in Information Systems at Karlstad University with a PhD from Trinity College, Dublin, will speak trends with the perspective of the conference series CBMS - Computer-Based Medical Systems.

At Karlstad University, Odd teaches classes in Management Information Systems at all levels. His high-level classes have been much appreciated by foreign students coming to Karlstad.

During the winter and spring, a new graphical user interface for the web-based Ozlab have been launched. The new user interface allows the ‘wizard’ to build the shell more easily and Ozlab is also easier to manoeuvre in the ‘test runner mode’.

The interns Manuel Gawert and Caroline Kayser are both studying their second year on the International Management for Business and Information Technology-programme at DHBW Stuttgart.
During the first study period of this spring, they had their internship at the Information Systems Usability Laboratory where they worked updating the Ozlab manual, as the Shell builder now has a reallocated user interface.
