CRE8® is a model for innovation-challenge events, developed by the Grants and Innovation Office at Karlstad University. A public or private organization provides a real-world operational challenge to which teams of students try to find solutions. Since it was first introduced in 2017, the CRE8® model has become a very successful concept. With funding from Erasmus+, Karlstad University is now training facilitators to run CRE8® events around Europe.

Project description
The Swedish preschool is in a long-standing change from content-based focus to subject didactic teaching and learning environments, from children’s development in groups to a greater focus on children’s individual learning and development. Art History and Visual Studies is concerned with how people have expressed themselves by giving shape to these expressions through images and forms since they first developed the means to do so, through to today’s prolific flood of images and contemporary art.
Our research explores the social dynamics of political and economic inclusion and exclusion. Racism, as an ideology and everyday practice, constitutes an integral part of this focus, as do discourses on cultural values in contemporary processes of both conflict and convivial coexistence.

Elin Skau, why did you choose Karlstad Business School?
- I chose it both because I come from Värmland but also because I heard very good things about the school and student life. The Business School has a super nice campus with good connections to the city centre.
What expectations did you have for the Human resource management and working life program - and were they met?
- I had the expectation of gaining a greater and broader understanding of working life and organizations.
