- Department of Public Health and Informatics (DPHI) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) is the premier Postgraduate Medical Institution in Bangladesh. Since its inception in 1998, the university has been providing general and specialized clinical services as a tertiary-level healthcare center. DPHI is primarily concerned with teaching and research. With their extensive knowledge in public health, epidemiology, and healthcare delivery, BSMMU researchers contribute to assessing the direct and indirect health impacts of climate change on coastal communities, with a particular focus on mental health outcomes. Their expertise in studying risk perception, health behaviors, and healthcare utilization patterns allows for a comprehensive understanding of the complex factors influencing mental wellbeing in the face of climate change and extreme weather events.

- Centre for Injury Prevention and Research Bangladesh (CIPRB) has been engaged in innovations and good practices in health and development since its inception in 2005. The origin of CIPRB can be traced back to the groundbreaking, nationwide community-based inquiry called the Bangladesh Health and Injury Survey 2005. CIPRB has a strong track record of successful interventions in its field of expertise. For example, they have developed and implemented an evidence-based scalable drowning intervention program in Bangladesh's coastal zone called SwimSafe. This intervention is highly relevant for flood situations. CIPRB has also assessed parental violence against children during floods in Bangladesh, exploring socio-economic characteristics as explanatory variables to explain the link between psychosocial health and floods.

- Centre for Societal Risk Research (CSR) at Karlstad University (KAU) has been focused on society's understanding and management of risks for over ten years. CSR was inaugurated in 2020 by merging two previous research centers at KAU: the Centre for Climate and Safety (CCS) and the Centre for Public Safety (CPS). The merger aimed to stimulate new research areas, including the emerging health threats following climate change. The education provided by CSR is based not only on theoretical knowledge but also on practical knowledge gained from years of partnership with national and local agencies and programs outside academia.
