In October CTF organized a workshop in Karlstad with focus on remote services in the manufacturing industry. IT-based services within manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly common which open up for new ways to interact, but introducing new technology is also a challenge and many questions arise. This was the starting point for the workshop where a number of companies from the manufacturing industry participated.

So, should Hilary Clinton now question the result? Melanie Volkamer, professor of Computer Science at Karlstad University, researches on e-voting and says that the systems used today could be questioned but there are ways of avoiding this. Currently, different voting systems are used in the USA.

Rasmus Dahlberg, a computer engineering student at Karlstad University, had a summer job at the university a few months ago. This has now led to his participation in an international conference on secure IT systems. During the summer of 2016, Rasmus worked as assistant in HITS, High Quality Networked Services in a Mobile World, a project conducted by Computer Science at Karlstad University.
