Saab Dynamics International Programme Scholarship
Saab Dynamics International Programme Scholarship
The Saab Dynamics International Programme Scholarship provides a tuition-fee reduction of 100 000 SEK for outstanding students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who are admitted to an eligible bachelor’s or master’s programme at Karlstad University. To reflect the purpose of the scholarship, preference should be given to students from India enrolled in the Master's programme Data-Driven Mechanical Engineering. If there are no eligible applicants that meet these criteria, other applicants may also be considered.
This scholarship is made possible through the generous support of Saab Dynamics. Saab Dynamics is a world-leading developer and manufacturer of advanced defense systems, built on high-tech innovation, systems integration, and customer-tailored solutions, with a shared mission: to help keep people and societies safe.
About the Saab Dynamics International Programme Scholarship
The scholarship aims to support academically strong students who are required to pay tuition fees and who have applied to an eligible programme at Karlstad University. To reflect the focus and objectives of the sponsor's operations, preference shall be given to students from India who are enrolled in the Master's Programme in Data-Driven Mechanical Engineering. If there are no eligible applicants that meet these criteria, other applicants may also be considered. The scholarship is intended to support highly motivated and academically qualified students whose educational background and future ambitions align with the fields of advanced technology, engineering innovation, and data-driven solutions.
In addition, priority will be given to applicants who have successfully completed and passed a security clearance interview.
The scholarship consists of a fixed amount of 100 000 SEK, which is distributed evenly across all tuition-fee instalments for the entire duration of the programme. This means that the reduction is applied proportionally each semester, rather than as a single lump sum.
Because tuition fees vary, the percentage of tuition covered differs:
- Most master’s programmes cost 190 000–300 000 SEK (2027/2028).
- Most bachelor’s programmes cost 285 000–450 000 SEK (2027/2028).
The scholarship does not cover living expenses, and applicants must demonstrate financial capability as required for a residence permit. Guidance is available on the Swedish Migration Agency website.
Applications for the 2027 scholarship period will be accepted from 1 March to 15 March 2027.
To be eligible to apply for the scholarship, applicants must first apply for a programme at Karlstad University starting in the autumn semester and ensure that the application fee has been paid (unless exempt). Late applications will not be considered.
Application period: 1 March to 15 March 2027.
