From Model Plastics to Barrier Coating on Paper

SEMINAR SERIES ORGANIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGINEERING AND CHEMICAL SCIENCES

Meet Abu Saifullah, new post-doctoral research at Pro2BE and the Functional Surfaces and Sustainable Materials research group. He is investigating the development of barrier coatings on paper surface, in a project funded by Sweden's Innavation Agency VINNOVA. 

Barrier coating, and properties aiming at resisting water and moisture and gas permeation, are considered some of the most important properties for paper based materials intended to be used in various applications.

In this seminar, Abu will present his previous research on materials or plastics moldings and also outline his current research project in barrier coating.
