Nina Kilbrink is an associate professor in educational work at the Department of Educational Studies at Karlstad University and holds a PhD in technology education and materials engineering directed towards didactics. She is also a member of the research group SMEER (Science, Mathematics and Engineering Education Research) and ROSE (Research on Subject-specific Education). She holds a university degree in teaching at upper secondary school and a licentiate degree in pedagogical work at Karlstad University. She has experiences from teaching at the teacher education and at information systems at Karlstad University. The research interests are Learning, Vocational Education, Technical Education, Narrative Research, Variation Theory, Learning Study, ICT in Education, Transfer and the relation between Theory and Practice in technical vocational education. She finalized her PhD thesis 2013. Title: Lära för framtiden: Transfer i teknisk yrkesutbildning (Learning for the Future: Transfer in Technical Vocational Education).
