In my dissertation the research topic concerned management of information systems outsourcing from the perspective of client-supplier relationships. The research was focused to the phases after the contract has been signed, thus the focus is on the implementation of outsourcing. In today’s business climate, recognized by rapid changes and high level of competition, buyers and suppliers have become keener on understanding how innovation can be realized in their outsourcing business relationships. In my ongoing research I am therefore interested in increasing our understanding about what innovation in outsourcing actually means as well as the prerequisites for innovation in outsourcing.
Another field of interest includes service innovation in healthcare, more specific how patients and healthcare employees can be involved in, as well as in what way they can contribute to, development of healthcare.
Besides my position as a researcher I also lecture undergraduate cources in information systems, mainly in business development and how IT can enable business development. I also have great experience in supervising students writing their bachelor thesis.
Further, I am program coordinator for two of three profiles within the 3-year study programme IT-design: Enterprise Systems and Economy and Information Systems Design.
