My research interest areas are strategic communication, branding, social media, visual communication and design, music industry, fandom and audiences.
From September 2015 to August 2018 I was part of the EU-funded Interreg program Music Innovation Network Inners Scandinavia (MINS). My research focus here was digital strategic communication and music artist brand building.
September 2018 to September 2021 I am part of the EU-funded Interreg program MECO – Music Ecosystems Inner Scandinavia, that continuously focus on a music industry in transition and the role of audiences, with a special focus on fan engagement.
My teaching and course leadership experience cover topics such as strategic communication, visual communication and design, social media, semiotics, rhetoric and supervision of student’s essays. I was Head of the bachelor program Media and communication: Visual communication and design (180 credits), at the Department of Geography, Media and Communication during 2012 to 2015. Between 2015 and 2018 I was a course planner and director of studies of Media and communication at Karlstad University.
I work actively with collaboration with industry and public organisations to strengthen cooperation in both education and research projects.
