Elisabet Mellroth

Forskning
Elisabet Mellroth is a doctoral student in educational work. In her research she focus on the teacher role and how the teacher can support the mathematically gifted pupils within the inclusice mixed-ability classroom. In her research the experienced teacher is an important aspect.
Elisabet is expected to graduate during autumn 2018.
Her research is connected to a school development program om mathematical giftedness, some information of this project can be found on its webpage: skola.karlstad.se/sarskiltbegavadeelever
In her licentiate study in mathematics education at Karlstad University she compared achievement in mathematics through using different tests, the national test in mathematics and the mathematical Kangaroo a mathematic competition. Of special interest were those students that were high-achievers on one test but low achiever on the other. Her licentiate thesis High achiever! Always a high achiever? was published in December 2014.

Elisabet is the Swedish national correspondent of ECHA (European Council for High Ability).
She is also the Swedish national correspondent of WCGTC (World Council of Gifted and Talented Children).
