BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Doctoral programme in Business Administration at Karlstad University.
At the Karlstad Business School, research in Business Administration is pursued both in multidisciplinary and disciplinary groups. The groups may involve researchers from Karlstad University and from other universities, in Sweden and abroad. Business Administration is a problem-oriented subject with different theoretical frameworks for different sub-disciplines. These sub-disciplines may be classified functionally (e.g. marketing, accounting, finance, financial management, and organisation), or according to subject area (e.g. entrepreneurship, internationalisation, logistics, and service management).
Many of our researchers focus on different aspects of services and value-creating services as part of the multidisciplinary Service Research Centre. Research topics include service innovation, customer behaviour and experience, the inclusion of users in the development of services, as well as new business models and organisation. CTF was founded in 1986.
Business Administration at Karlstad University also participates in the collaborative PhD programme of the National Research School in Management and IT.
