"The concept of fika has existed in Sweden for about 100 years. It is used by Swedes as a common expression for drinking coffee accompanied by something sweet.

The autumn semester at Karlstad University starts on 30 August. New students at study programmes, where the student groups are not too large, are prioritised to start the semester on campus.
International students will also be taught on campus.

Karlstad University and Deutsche Telekom are collaborating on a project intended to improve the internet connection for users. The goal is for the technology to be incorporated into every mobile phone within five years.
Mobile phones use 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi to access the internet. The project called MultiAccess will tie them together in a flexible way and thus improve the connection.
