What does their own world view look like compared to that of society based on knowledge and research? Do they feel included in the way pre-school education programmes approach these matters?

Karlstad University has been granted funding by the EU Commission to join EUNICE, an education and research collaboration with nine other European universities. The idea behind EUNICE is to facilitate student and staff exchanges, as well as creating conditions for close collaboration on research and partnerships with the surrounding community. The project will run over a period of four years and has been granted €14.4 million or 170 SEK .

The International Project, the IPC project, enables student teachers to meet online to exchange experiences in an international perspective without having to study abroad during parts of their education. At the end of June, teacher education researchers from all over the world gather within the IPC project at Karlstad University for their annual conference. Student mobility and studying abroad plays a marginal role in the individual experience of teacher students.

On 13–14 June, Karlstad University hosts Framtidens Lärande Väst (Future Learning West). The event is fully booked, which means that more than 2,000 people will be attending. Note: We recommend that you bring your own lunch box and that you bear in mind that the parking area might be busy. Two rows of the parking area north of the library are reserved for the 2-day event.
