Health Care and Social Work

At Karlstad University we see the whole person. This is true of both education and research in the field of health, care and social work and it contributes to the quality of the students’ professional training.

Health, care and social work belong to a broad professional area in which the need for collaboration between different organisations is increasing. Also, there are more actors in this arena, in Sweden and abroad. The public sector is no longer the only provider of services in a field that has seen many successful business ideas being realised by private entrepreneurs.
