Prerequisites
Degree of Bachelor or Degree of Master of Arts in Primary Education of at least 180 credits or a Degree of Master of Arts/Science in Secondary Education with at least 90 credits in one of the subjects Swedish/Swedish as a second language, English, Spanish, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, science studies, geography, history, religion, social studies, or physical education and health.
Upper secondary school level Swedish 3 or B, Swedish as a Second Language 3 or B, or equivalent. Upper secondary school level English 6 or B, or equivalent.

Education
This is a programme in subject-specific education. With a basis in subject-specific education research, focusing on various perspectives related to a selection of teaching material and how it can be transformed in order for the pupils to learn as much as possible, The courses focuses mainly on teaching within your specific subject or field, but also on general perspectives on subject-specific education. The courses provides specialisation in subject-specific education, but also focuses on your particular subject. You will focus on individual development as a teacher, alongside studies of how to lead subject-specific school development. In practice, this means that the studies are related to your professional teaching practices throughout.Form of Instruction
The programme is offered as distance education with a rate of study of 50%, with a few on-campus seminars each semester. These on-campus seminars are held late afternoons. Students are organised in study groups meant to act as a support throughout the various courses. This is a subject-specific education programme, which is also reflected in the structure of the programme. Specifically, this means that general studies are alternated with studies focused on your particular subject. The aim is to address any unique teaching conditions in relation to the specific subject matter.The programme is conducted by means of various digital tools. The learning platform Canvas is used for communication between teachers and students. Zoom is used for real-time teaching, such as group discussions and literature seminars.
Examination
