Netnography and Big Data
Upon completion of the course, the doctoral students shall be able to:
- Account for, apply and justify Netnography as methodological approach.
- Account for, assess and justify ethical considerations and GDPR considerations related to Netnography as methodological approach.
- Create Big Data projects, as well as outline and choose alternate data sources and analytical techniques.
- Apply methods for processing primary data, and mixed data analysis methods with visual support.
To be eligible for the course, you must be admitted to a Scandinavian doctoral programme.
There will be 6 meetings during the course, of which three are lunch-to-lunch meetings here at Karlstad University, and three are half day seminars via Zoom. The course starts the second week of November 2023 with a campus seminar, and the final seminar is planned to January 17, 2024, with individual oral presentations of the written assignments.
