Research seminar on customer/actor engagement with Jodie Conduit
Jodie Conduit is an Associate Professor of Marketing in the Business School at the University of Adelaide, Australia.
In this seminar the evolution of customer/actor engagement research in marketing with be examined, and two distinct, yet complementary, paths for conceptualizing customer engagement that have emerged based on the research paradigms of customer relationship management and service dominant logic respectively will be highlighted. While the two streams overlap, and currently are informed by developments in both streams, there are benefits in recognizing the conceptual nuances of each. Furthermore, Jodie will highlight how the S-D logic inspired research stream has developed into a system perspective, providing examination of Actor Engagement as a process of interactions between multiple actors (i.e. engagement practices) in service ecosystems.
Jodie will showcase her own personal research contribution along these streams of research and discuss the potential future direction of this research domain.
