Title: “Generativity in data science and AI: the role of anomalies”

Description: Data science and AI are expected to generate value for organizations through new products and services design. Yet effectively leveraging data in organizations remains a major challenge according to both scholars and practitioners. This presentation, based mainly on my PhD work, will explain what are anomalies and how can they be useful for that endeavor. Precisely, it will appear that they are relevant at least for the design of AI models and for the management of data-based projects. Surprisingly, it leads to the necessity of a new actor in organizations, rather focused on anomalies than databases, in order to effectively generate value from data.
