The Swedish Welfare State Model
7.5 HPThe course provides an introduction to the traditional Swedish welfare state model and provides some in-depth knowledge and understanding of its components such as health care, elder care, social care, labour market, welfare economy, and education system. The Swedish model is compared and contrasted to other welfare state systems.
The recent development of the Swedish welfare state is discussed and analysed in seminars. The course may also contain compulsory study visits.
