Call for papers: 17th Nordic Conference of Religious Education
We invite you to submit paper proposals, symposium proposals, and/or poster presentations.
Papers, symposia and posters can be submitted in English, as well as any Nordic language. However, there will be participants from a broad range of European countries; English will thus be the main conference language, and presentations in English will be understood by more participants than Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Icelandic, or Finnish. Given enough participants in a given Nordic language, we will attempt to gather them in monolingual sessions.
Paper proposal (250–300 word abstract)
- We invite researchers to submit papers addressing the conference theme. The abstract should be 250 to 300 words.
- Time for presentation will be 15–20 minutes, followed by response and discussion.
- Full paper (ab. 3000 words) to be submitted prior to the conference.
Symposium proposal (250–300 word abstract)
- We invite groups of researchers to present a theme, that is of relevance to the conference theme or of general interest to the field, for debate. This can be in the form of a collection of shorter papers.
- The abstract for a symposium should be 250–300 words.
- Time for presentation is 90 minutes. It is also possible to opt for a double symposium, occupying two timeslots of 90 minutes each.
- The names of all presenters and discussants should be included with the abstract and the full papers. Symposium proposal should be submitted by the main contact person organising the symposium, who will be considered to be the chair of the session.
- Full contribution to be submitted prior to the conference should be about 3000 words.
EDIT: After further consideration, submission of full symposia contribution is optional. Read more under practical information.
