General admission requirements plus either
- Field-specific eligibility A4 (upper-secondary level English 6, Civics 1b or 1a1 + 1a2, Mathematics 3b or 3c) with the lower-lever Mathematics 1a or 1b or 1c, or
- Field-specific eligibility 4 (upper-secondary level English B, Civics A, Mathematics C) with the lower-lever Mathematics A.
Optional courses may have additional requirements.
EducationThe programme develops students' ability to identify, analyse and structure the problems of tourism-related activities. The programme emphasises the importance of nature and culture for tourism and its development.
Form of InstructionTeaching is usually in the form of lectures, group work, seminars and field studies.
ExaminationThe forms of examination may vary. There are both oral and written exams. There are no set examination periods, and generally no final exam at the end of a semester, an academic year, or a complete study programme. Examination usually takes place at the end of each course, module, or unit.
Professional ContactWe have good connections in regional tourism, something which gives students the opportunity to find interesting and relevant research problems for degree projects in cooperation with the industry.

Employment MarketThe expanding tourists market has a great need for qualified people who can analyse and develop the industry in different directions. As in many other areas, job opportunities vary, and the programme prepares you for work in tourism as well as in the transportation industry.
DegreeUpon completion of the programme students are awarded a Degree of Bachelor in Tourism. For examination and assessment regulations, see under the heading "Learning outcomes" in the programme study plan.
