Ensemble V, Western classical music
7.5 ECTS creditsStudents study and perform Western classical music repertoires for various ensemble constellations in different styles and from various epochs as well as repertoire that is based on cross-generic musical forms, artistic areas and means of expression. They problematise and solve technique and rendition problems relating to style, performance praxis, notation issues and interpretation in various areas of music and ensemble constellations. They also critically reflect on and problematise choice of artistic approach, expression and performance as well as development potentials and the need of further skills. Students, whose main instrument is the piano, also practise accompaniment. In-house as well as public concerts are performed. Instruction is in the form of group lessons and concentrated rehearsals during project weeks.

KOGV09 Main Instrument IV, Western Classical Music 15 ECTS cr, KOGV10 Ensemble IV, Western Classical Music 7.5 ECTS cr and KOGV11 Musical Knowledge III, Western Classical Music, 7.5 ECTS cr.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
