Mathilde de Goër de Herve's research focuses on disaster risk management as part of climate change adaptation. Her studies investigate topics such as just processes and outcomes, prioritization of critical services, long-term strategies and integrated management.
Biografi
Mathilde de Goër de Herve has more than six years of experience researching and advising in the field of climate risk management. She defended her PhD thesis in September 2024, in Risk and Environmental Studies (Karlstad University, Sweden). The title was Disaster Risk Management for Sustainable Development: The role of Justice and Temporality. She has then worked as a climate change adaptation consultant to support the work of different European institutions, notably the European Environment Agency and the Secretariat of the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change.
Earlier studies: Mathilde graduated in 2018 with an International Joint Master's Degree in Sustainable Territorial Development (STeDe) from KU Leuven (Belgium), Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne (France), and Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy). Before that, her studies were focusing on economics (Université Lumière Lyon II (France) and Université de Bordeaux (France)).
