Lena Halawi

Mitt forskningsintresse är djupt rotat i de psykosociala och emotionella aspekterna av hälsa, sjukdom, och den vård som följer. Jag brinner för hälsofrämjande och förebyggande åtgärder, samt att lyfta fram människan bakom diagnosen och sjukdomen. Jag vill bidra till att utveckla hälso- och sjukvården till en personlig vård som genomsyras av en empatisk klinisk blick, respekt, och autonomi, med individen i centrum.

Strävan är ett vårdsystem som är humanistiskt snarare än positivistiskt, och ser både patienter och vårdgivare som varelser i behov av omsorg, värdighet och helhetssyn. Det är i just detta sammanhang som jag placerar mina forskningsintressen och min avhandling inom cancerforskning.
