Biografi
Dr. Florin Maican is a researcher in economics and financial economics with expertise in industrial organization, economics of technology and innovation, competition policy, and market dynamics. His research examines how technology and market policies shape competition, productivity dynamics, industry evolution, and consumer welfare.
Maican has conducted influential studies on the effects of regulation, entry barriers, state aid, and innovation policies across diverse sectors, including retail, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and manufacturing. His work creates novel methodological tools that combine recent advances in econometrics with machine learning and reinforcement learning techniques to analyze increasingly complex markets.
