Forskning
I am interested in the relation between intra- and inter-molecular interactions, on one hand, and the properties of materials made of these molecules, on the other. I am using modeling and atomistic computer simulations to answer questions born both from curiosity and practical application. Presently my research focuses on problems related to organic photovoltaic applications, in particular the morphology formation in functional thin films prepared from solution. You can read more about this on the SOLA project website.

Biografi
I studied physics at Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania (1997), obtaining also my qualification as a teacher of physics at pre-university level. I obtained my master's degree in theoretical physics at the same university in 1998, with a thesis in ab-initio molecular dynamics studies of the C60 molecule.
Between 1999-2004 I studied and worked at the Martin-Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, and the University of Bremen, Germany.
I obtained my PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands in 2013. My PhD project was focusing on atomistic molecular dynamics simulations of the interaction between polymeric thin films and proteins in aqueous solution, for biosensor applications.
I started working at Karlstad University in 2016.
