In my research, I study questions related to prerequisites for mathematics teaching and mathematics learning:

• Is the school a place for teaching development? Studies of conditions and infrastructures for teachers' planning practice and professional development
• Making spaces for learning visible in the age of digitization: Opportunities and challenges
• Research Practice Partnerships - Research in collaboration, close to practice and mathematics teachers' problems

I am one of the research leaders in the interdisciplinary subject didactic research group ROSE and Knowledge and Quality across School Subjects and Teacher Education (KOSS). I am a member of the research center SMEER.

Interactive Mathematical Maps

I teach in the latter part of the primary teacher program with VFU, method courses and degree projects, as well as in master's programs and in postgraduate education. Mainly the teaching is about mathematics didactics, but also general theories and methods in subject didactics and subject didactic research.
