Law and documentation for child arriving alone
7.5 ECTS creditsInstruction is in the form of lectures, group work, individual study and mandatory final seminars.
Initially, students present their routines for social documentation of minors arriving alone at their place of work. The routines are analysed and developed to harmonize with current legislation and the guidelines and regulations issued by The National Board of Health and Welfare. The course concludes with a seminar in which the students' assignments are discussed.
The course comprises the following components:
- the structure and application of social and health care legislation (SoL, LSS, LVU, LVM, HSL och LPT),
- processing and documenting in the social service area, legal concepts, secrecy and legal rights,
- outlines of other relevant legislation UtlL, LMA and the law of trsutee for minors arriving alone),
- Children's rights according to the child convention and the ocial legislation's child perspective pertaining to minors arriving alone - what is a strong child's perspective and how can it be applied?
- minors arriving alone but not lonely
- the organisation of the reception of minors in Sweden - distribution of roles and responsibility for the municipality and the Migration Agency.
