Research Methodology in Psychology for Case Managers
15.0 ECTS creditsThe focus of the course is first on the different perspectives in psychology based on history of ideas, theory of science, methodology and theory. Students familiarize themselves with current international psychological research and practise searching for relevant research in international databases and in communicating research results orally and in writing. The focus then shifts to the methodological aspects of psychological research regarding approach, design, collection and analysis of qualitative as well as quantitative data. Students develop skills in operationalising research questions and hypothesis in psychology to collect and process qualitative data relevant to qualitative methods of analysis and quantitative data in line with relevant non-parametric and parametric statistical methods using the statistical programme SPSS.

Completed courses terms 1-2 (30 ECTS cr + 30 ECTS cr) of the Case Management Programme and 22.5 ECTS cr term 3 and 15 ECTS cr term 4.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
