Conflict management
7.5 ECTS creditsThe aim of the course is for students to acquire fundamental knowledge about conflicts, conflict strategies, and conflict management at the individual, group, organisational, and societal levels. The course addresses conflicts as a phenomenon, and tools for managing and resolving conflicts. Special emphasis is on the role of communication in the emergence and resolution of conflicts, as well as models for negotiation and mediation. The course also places special emphasis on how theories of conflict and conflict management can be applied in work toward a sustainable society, gender equality, inclusion, and diversity. Group-based and individual exercises aimed at promoting personal reflection are included as components of the course.
Students are expected to participate actively in shaping the course content through seminar discussions and other learning activities throughout the course. The course requires self-study, continuous reading, and active, reflective participation in group discussions.

Admission requirements:
A bachelor-level degree, of which 90 credits must be in Psychology, including an independent project of at least 15 credits at G2E level. In addition, upper secondary level Swedish 3, English 6 or Swedish level 3, English level 2.An equivalence assessment can be made.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
