Nursing profession, clinical competence and leadership
15 ECTS credits
The course centres on the profession, clinical competence, and leadership of the nurse.
Instruction is in the form of introductory and specialised lectures, seminars, skills training, simulation, individual assignments, reflective discussions, group work, and portfolio assignments.
The course integrates nursing (10 ECTS cr), medical science (3 ECTS cr), and social and behavioural science (2 ECTS cr), and includes clinical placement at a hospital (7.5 ECTS cr).

Admission requirements:
Fundamentals of Nursing and the Nursing Profession, 30 ECTS credits, Basic Clinical Nursing, 30 ECTS credits, and Nursing in Relation to Symptoms and Signs of Illness, 37.5 ECTS credits, plus registration on Nursing in Relation to Acute Situations, 7.5 ECTS credits, with at least 3.5 ECTS credits completed, and Nursing in Longterm Illness and Multimorbidity, 30 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
