Leadership in Music Education 1
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course is based on a practice-related perspective with an emphasis on that students should acquire theoretical knowledge and have the opportunity to apply it. The following areas are treated:
-different leadership theories in a historical and current perspective
- leadership for learning, i.e. guiding children's and young people's knowledge development with a focus on the teacher's communicative skills, including communication in digital environments. Exercises in conversation methods, tone of voice and body language, musical leadership, cooperation, interaction and performance in children and adult groups.
-problematising the teacher's leadership in ensuring that all pupils' needs are met in the planning of inclusive teaching
-the concepts sustainable development and entrepreneurship are considered in relation to pedagogical leadership.
Instruction formats vary and may include case studies, planning, seminars, structured group discussion and practical exercises.
