Assessment in practice and theory - Bridging Programme after third-cycle qualification

On the basis of teachers' knowledge base the module provides resources and activities involving
- the purpose of assessment and the forms of assessment that correspond with different aims; how assessment can be an integrated part of teaching and what this means in the perspectives of theories of learning and teaching,
- assessment and evaluation in practice through test design, formulation of grade-like assessments; different forms of national tests such as the test bank at the national Agency of Education and the national tests; considerations to make in the choice of form of assessment,
- the role of assessment in the follow-up of the school's goal fulfillment: local, national and international performance tests and their relation to follow-up and assessment,
- assessment issues and their links to different subject areas,
- aspects of class, gender and ethnicity are problematised in relation to assessment. Module content is related to an international and an historical context.
Module 2 Practical Placement 2
On the basis of teachers' knowledge base the module provides resources and activities involving
- interpreting and applying central documents,
- practically applying pedagogical and subject methodological theories with regard to students' knowledge, abilities and needs,
- planning, leading and evaluating teaching comprising a longer period and during this period engaging in the daily work at the school,
- practically handling special education needs in cooperation with others,
- documenting, assessing and/or grading student knowledge in relation to educational goals,
- using digital resources.
