- Education for children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with intellectual disability, from historical and contemporary perspectives
- The organisation, curricula, and routines of school for pupils/students with intellectual disability
- Current theories of and research on intellectual disability from various perspectives, including psychological, sociological, and gender perspectives
- Intellectual disability in combination with additional disabilities, including neuropsychiatric difficulties
- Communication, language, and concept development as the foundation for learning
- Mapping of learning environments

Contract education for those admitted to "Lärarlyftet" (LASUL IFLL) who have completed the course Special Needs Education: Research and Practice, 15 ECTS credits, or equivalent
