The Intercultural Society

This course is an introduction to intercultural studies. It presents the historical development of intercultural theory and method in the social sciences, and the intercultural society as a multifaceted, dynamic and contemporary object of study and research. The course aims at deepening the participants? understanding of the dynamics of culture in changing demographic and social contexts. In focus are interdisciplinary contributions to the study of diversity, ethnicity, nation, and language, and of the role of culture in processes of social inclusion and exclusion.

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
