Idea management in the Front End of Innovation
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course is based on an idea development process and deals with idea management in terms of four sub areas. First, basic theories on idea management and why the idea development process is important to companies and organisations are treated and second, the issue of what constitutes an idea and who can generate ideas in an organisational context. The third area deals with methods that can be used to develop an initial idea further. Finally, the fourth area is focused on evaluating ideas based on different approaches and composition of an assessment group.
Students participate actively in shaping course content through their practical experience of the area and through net-based discussions and activities based on the students' own material. The coursework requires students to work independently, read the course literature, and participate actively and reflectively in discussion fora, seminars, and report sessions.

A degree of Bachelor with Industrial Engineering and Management as the main field of study, or 105 ECTS credits completed from semesters 1-4 and 22.5 ECTS credits from semester 5 in the Industrial Engineering and Management (TACIE) programme, and IEAD03 Innovation Management, 7.5 ECTS credits, or equivalent

Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
