General Relativity
7.5 ECTS creditsThis is a course in General Relativity. The goal with the course is that you should learn the foundations for this theory. The course treats, among other things, the principle of equivalence, the principle of covariance, parallel transport and tensor analysis; Einstein's field equations; classical tests of Einstein's theory of General Relativity; Einstein's equations for weak gravitational fields; gravitational waves; black holes, and cosmology.

Admission requirements:
Mathematics 37.5 ECTS cr. and Physics 46.5 ECTS cr., or equivalent. Upper secondary school level Swedish 3 or B/Swedish as a second language 3 or B, and English 6 or A, or equivalent.
Selection:
Selection is usually based on your grade point average from upper secondary school or the number of credit points from previous university studies, or both.
