Women writers' science fiction and fantasy
7.5 ECTS creditsThe course treats women writers' science fiction and fantasy in English, with a focus on negotiations of these genres and contemporary societal phenomena. In relation to their study of a number of novels, students discuss and analyse aspects of race, gender, class, sexuality, culture, and history, as well as genre-specific traits.
Instruction includes the reading of novels and scholarly articles, seminar discussions and oral presentations, and written analyses.

90 ECTS credits, including at least 30 ECTS credits at the G2F level in one of the main fields of study English, Comparative Literature, or Film Studies, and upper secondary level English 6 or B, or equivalent
