HDS - Health Data Sweden
The purpose of Health Data Sweden (HDS) is to increase the use of health data within small and medium-sized enterprises as well as public organizations. HDS will offer services such as accessible data, legal issues, and competence development.
This project aims to increase the use of health data as part of streamlining the health sector and creating improved health benefits for individuals. By developing processes and services based on health data, the project aims to transform collected health data into practically usable services for end users.
Karlstad University, through the Service Research Center (CTF) and Karlstad Business School, is participating in a work package focused on creating value from health data. The work includes developing processes that enable the creation of services from the publication of health data to the services reaching end users. In the project, we are also involved in a work package on education, which we can both tailor and will publish examples of standard modules. In addition, the project works to raise competence in the area, for example through workshops and seminars based on health data.
The project is expected to contribute to increased innovation and efficiency in the health sector while strengthening the ability to utilize health data in a value-creating way.
Participating researchers: Karin Brodén (project manager), Sana Rouis Skandrani, Erik Wästlund, and Monika Magnusson
